Approval of Meta's policies
In order your products to be shown in your dynamic ads it is necessary that they comply with all Meta's advertising policies, which are restrictions placed by the platform on some types of content.
In case your products do not comply with the policies, then Meta will reject them and they will not be able to be shown in your ads, damaging their performance. It's for this reason that it's important to maintain a good health in your catalog, making the possible changes so that the products are approved.
Meta Approval
In order for Meta to approve your rejected products, you will first need to understand if they can actually comply with the policies. There are products that will never be approved, meaning they will never show up in your ads. One example is alcohol bottles. This is because Meta prohibits the purchase and sale of alcoholic beverages in its ads.
If you think it's possible that your products comply with the policies, then you should edit them in your ecommerce so that they are no longer rejected. Each time a product is edited, it enters an automatic Meta review where it will be decided whether to approve it or keep it rejected. If possible, you will have to keep editing it until it is approved.
It may also happen that your products comply with the policies and are incorrectly rejected. In that case, you can request a manual review.
Manual Review
1. In the sales manager, click on the checkboxes to select the products you think are incorrectly rejected. Once selected, click Request Review at the top of the page.
If you do not know how to get to this screen, you can follow this step by step.
2. To find out why the items are rejected, you can view the info icon that appears in the Policy Issues column. Click on View more information to find out which policy each item is supposedly violating.
3. Check that all the selected products are complying with the policy for which they are being rejected. Select Submit review and, if you want, leave a comment to be taken in consideration when evaluating it. Then, click OK in the pop-up window and your products will be reviewed in the next few days.
You can check the status of the review by clicking on the product. The details screen will open, and you should look at the Problems tab.
If the review is approved, the item will be ready for use in ads. If the review is not approved, the item will remain rejected. Once the review is complete, you will not be able to submit another review request for the same items unless you edit them first.
